Image for Butterfly Razor

A month or so ago, I needed a new razor. I wanted something girly, something that expressed my personality. Especially since this would be something I would use all the time, for a long time. At first, the only razors I saw were the thin ones, the ones for men.

I wanted a thicker razor, specifically for women, maybe one with a design, glitter embedded in it, or bright colors. While scanning the rack of numerous shaving accoutrements, a razor alerted me to its presence.

I love the appearance of this particular razor. I like the mixture of colors: aqua, jungle green, magenta, purple, yellow, white and silver.

It is covered with butterflies and flowers. On the packaging, it said that this razor was limited edition.

The razor is made out of a combination of soft and hard plastics. The front of the razor has some sort of soft plastic on it where the design is. This soft plastic feels good on my thumb. The underside has the same soft plastic and has rippled grips for your hand to hold onto. There are also indented grips on the sides for your thumb and forefinger to hold onto.

The price was pretty incredible. It was only $3.48 at Walmart, and it included 2 cartridges and 1 shower caddy. It came with a cap which covers the blades; I have dropped that countless times. It seems shatter-proof.

Overall, I like this razor very much. I am not judging the blades, just on the outer portion and appearance. It has not failed me yet, and so far the decoration is lasting pretty well. I noticed two white lines on one of the purple butterflies, but I am not sure if they were always there or if that is a recent occurrence.

Note: There is an unconditional guarantee with Schick Silk Effects Plus products. I like that they offer that guarantee.
