Bouncers are a must have for a baby, as they provide parents with a safe place to set their baby when they need to have their hands free. They respond to babies movements, softly bouncing to help sooth your little one. There are so many different kinds on the market today. I'm glad I went with the Boppy Cradle in Comfort Bouncer.
This item has a lot of great features. It has a really nice support system for newborns that is easily removed for washing and as your baby gets a little bigger. I love all of the music selections. It plays five melodies and has three nature sounds that are lifelike, more realistic than others I have heard. My daughter likes the rainforest sound the best. The music has an auto shutoff which helps to save batteries. Along with the bouncing motion, it also features a soothing vibration that can be used with or without the music. Sometimes this helps to calm my daughter when she is fussy; sometimes it seems to make her more upset. She always loves having the music on though.
The best thing about this bouncer is that it has two positions. You can position it for your baby to sit upright, or so that they recline nicely. My baby has acid reflux, so we have to keep her upright 30 minutes after each feeding. It is exhausting when she wakes up and wants to be fed at 4 am. I had fallen asleep with her in my arms when trying to hold her upright. This made me very nervous, so now I can prop her up in her bouncer after she eats and we can all safely go back to sleep.
The only poor feature on this bouncer is the toy bar. It comes with just two toys and they are not very stimulating. I have seen more interesting/fun toys on bouncers that cost much less. The toy bar does remove easily though which is nice when trying to remove a sleeping baby from the bouncer.
Bottom line, this is a must-have item for your baby. They will love to play and sleep in this, and it is a great way for parents to be able to get things done around the house.
