Being a new golfer I certainly would not be as good as a veteran golfer to review this particular club however I have used it for a month now and have been practicing with it for many hours. At first it was too long. I had a local golf teacher take off two inches on it to improve the control and to have it be closer to what I personally would need being about 5 ft 7 inches tall. When the two inches were taken off it did not appear to sacrifice power but the control was better for me. It feels like a perfect fit now and the more I use it the more natural it is becoming. Yesterday I hit many straight shots with it and some were going over 200 yards without much effort on my part. The shaft is made of graphite so its on the light side as opposed to a metal shaft. It has an oversized head as I would call it, however many do today. This club feels extremely well made and its what I would expect from the Callaway golf company that has been around for sometime now. I purchased it at swing"em again golf which is a local shop that sells from their store in Hartford, Ct and on the internet as well. Mine was brand new, still wrapped up in the protective paper around the head when I bought it. It was probably a previous year model that did not get sold as the Callaway company moved onto the next year model as they do in this sport. I thought the price was really good for a driver of this quality. The overall feel of this club is excellent. My drives have been improving quite a bit with it the more I use it. I would recommend it to someone just starting off and I even know a local pro who has a similar one to mine and he really enjoys his. Good choice for many.
