I wanted to get some quality cookware and decided on the Calphalon. When I was looking at cookware, the sales person tried to talk me into getting a stainless steel set and told me that the Calphalon Nonstick set is something that "people who don't know how to cook" buy and told me I needed to get the stainless steel set. I looked at him and said, "Well, if that's the case, this is the set I need." He just gave me a blank look.
I got this home and I love it. It is easy to clean. It states it is not dishwasher safe, but I always handwash my pots and pans anyway. I love that the cookware has a glass lid. I can look into the pan and tell if I need more water or just check on things without lifting the lid. The handles do get hot, though and I expected them not to get so hot. I didn't think I would use the big stockpot, but I find it great for cooking pasta. I've also used it to make large pots of Jambalaya and soup.
