Image for Camera For All Season

I bought this camera few weeks ago at the local tech store in my place. Actually I am considering other known camera brands like Sony or Samsung. I had been comparing prices and specifications and suppose to be, I will buy it online but shipping takes time and my family badly needed a digital camera for some important event. I have no other options but to purchase a camera at the nearby store, with my cousin on side because she was very specific with the color. She wanted a pink or black colored camera with at least 10MP resolution. Both Sony and Samsung have these color choices online but unfortunately, it’s not available at the store. Most Sony or Samsung camera on display are all gray. Luckily, there’s only one black colored digital camera available… its ''GE E1035 10.1 Mega Pixels'''. I have known this brand for home appliances but not for digital cameras. I have reservations at first but checking the specs versus the price, it is just within our budget so we finally decide to go for this brand.

Camera Features and Specs:Max resolution of GE E1035 is 3648 x 2736 (10 Megapixel) so the image clarity is not be a problem even if you crop the picture. It has a 3X optical + 4.5X digital Focal length (35mm equiv.) zoom capability, so distance from your subject will not be a big issue. Just hit the zoom and still get great quality image. It has an auto focus feature but has no optical image stabilizer. LCD display is /2.7" and a resolution of 230, 400 pixels. LCD is big enough compared to the old digital camera I have before (Kodak Easy share).

Another good feature is the Audio/Video capturing capability in MPEG-4 format and a maximum resolution of 640 x 480. It has a built-in speaker for video preview. It also have an on board 26MB memory plus an SD/SDHC card slot and supports up to 4GB memory. Face-detection, Red-eye removal, panorama stitching are all present in this camera. Other features includes PictBridge, Exif Print support and multi-language support (11 languages). Battery life is 210 shots (based on CIPA standards) Dimensions in (W x H x D) is 4.1 x 2.2 x 0.9 in / 104.1 x 55.9 x 22.9 mm and Weighs approximately 145g without the battery

.

Price:Online price is $137.58 at Amazon and $124.95 at Buy.com… Comparing the actual price on store, it’s cheaper to buy online if shipping cost will not be the problem.

- User Manual

- USB cable

- CD-ROM which contains soft copy of the manual and a Bundled software (ArcSoft PhotoImpression)

What I like:I like the slim classy look of this camera in a smooth finished chassis. It comes in red, silver or black color to choose from. Come with in easy to use, user friendly menus and buttons. You can select scene mode like sport, indoor, leaf, snow, sunset, night portrait etc., (a total of 12 scene type to choose from). The camera will automatically adjust to the optimal settings depending on the scene selected. It also has an AV sound recording capability and boasts features like anti-handshake electronic image stabilizer which mean you image blur or distortion is minimized. Picture quality in low lighted environment or even during night mode are generally good enough.

What I dislike:No carrying case included in the package.

Recommendation:This camera is ideal to use any occasion image capturer…whether indoor or outdoor. With its easy to use features and menus, I think I can recommend GE E1035 for non-professional everyday camera needs. Great featured camera at a very reasonable price.
