We bought this set for my eldest daughter around Christmas time. She LOVES it!
It comes with; a Disney Princess dome style tent (with stakes and flexible, foldable poles), a coordinating Disney Princess Sleeping bag (a nice regular sized one), a coordinating Disney Princess backpack, a pink compass, and a small pink plastic Disney Princess water bottle.
We've had plenty of camp outs in the living room with this set. I would have given it five stars, if it weren't for the fact that the poles which come with the tent are a bit fragile. Of course, my youngest daughter was thrusting her entire body onto the tent when she broke them in a couple places, so that may just be because it's her. Still, I would think that the poles might break if it was a gusty night and you were camping outside with this set.
The compass and the plastic water bottle are pretty cheap looking. The compass became a toy, and it has held up well. The plastic water bottle has been used for drinking out of a few times, and is still pretty good looking.
The sleeping bag is fantastic! My daughter has put this thing through so much, and used it to drag copious amounts of toys around in (she likes to hide her things in little hidy holes when she can). It still looks brand new! The back pack, likewise, is great. We've used it to lug things around all over the place. It's a great size, with a wonderful theme, and it looks fantastic after a full year of having things spilled on it, etc.
The tent, except for the rather flimsy poles, is still in great shape! If I can find a way to replace the poles with sturdier ones, they'll be able to play in it more often. It's a good size too, with a wheather proofed bottom. It can comfortable sleep 2-4, depending on size. It's nice and tall, and wide. And, with Disney Princesses all over it, how can you go wrong?!
I felt that the price was a great deal! Even with the few flimsy or otherwise cheapy pieces. The back pack and the sleeping bag alone I felt was worth the $36. The tent was one of the main deciding factors though, and that's worked out well. Right now, I have the poles taped in a few places, so it looks a little off balance, and we can only use it with parental supervision in the living room. But, as soon as I get those replaced, we can even have camp outs in the back yard!
None of the stuff is too heavy, hence the lower rating in that area, But the materials for the back pack, sleeping bag, and tent (minus poles) is of good quality.
