My family and I went camping this weekend at Memaloose State Park located 11 miles West of The Dalles Oregon off the Columbia River which is about two hours from Portland, Oregon. I was unsure of camping at a campground that was unfamiliar to me, but when I arrived I was happy the campground was very nice and clean. My family and I stayed in tent campsite B6. I was not thrilled about the campsite because the fire pit was very small and there was a small hill in front of it which my kids kept falling down. The wind was strong where our campsite was, however after a while you got used to it. Although I was not crazy about our campsite I loved camping at Memaloose State Park there are so many thing to do with in miles, like the Windsurfing, Swimming, Biking, Fishing, Hiking and many more. There are some great site seeing spot also like the Bonneville Dam, Bridal Vail Falls, Multnomah Falls, Bridge of the Gods, Historic Vista House, Rooster Rock which is day use and so much more. Memaloose has 43 Full RV Hook ups sites with sewer, electricity, and water and 67 Tent sites which are big and spacious. Memaloose has a Playground for the children, Showers and Bathrooms.
