This has to be one the neatest things I have ever seen or have used! Video conferencing is widely used in office and school settings to communicate with employees locally, nationally, or internationally. It grealy enhances productivity for all involved. In essence, this is a group meeting that is conducted through this unit that looks like an UFO.
I had never experienced using this until attending my student's IEP meetings. The head of our Special Education Department usually trys to get up here for meetings but she cannot always attend therefore we conduct our meetings with this device. Her home office is located in Quantico, Virginia. Attendees gather around the table, talk, and interact with the person who is not ppresent. It is quite remarkable!
I have been present at many a IEP meeting in which we have had to use this device. The clarity of the sound is remarkable. We can talk back and forth and share information which is pertinent to our students. I have also attend my own son's IEP meeting at which we needed to use this unit. Information was shared and the meeting went extremely smooth despite the fact that the head of SPED was not present.
This device is the world's first conference phone that automatically adapts to each meeting environment. The machine provides high fidelity voice clarity for all participants and people can speak at a normal, natural conversational level. They can be heard clearly from two feet to twenty feet away from the microphone even when the meeting is conducted in a large conference room. When two Soundstation VTX 1000 conference phones connect with one another on a call, the phhones automaticallycome together in the VTX wideband mode which produces excellent clarity.
With this product, conference calls go much faster, smoother, meetings end quicker, and communication is excellent. The quality of the sound is excellent as one can hear persons voices much clearer which makes them seem more humanlike and present. The unit is not cheap, $1, 800 but is a great asset for any meeting in which there are persons whom cannot attend. I highly recommend it.
