Surprise, surprise this little Canon All-IN-ONE wonder does a really nice job. It came with my laptop purchase at Office Depot and I was reluctant to even hook it up, because the chassis is so light weight and downright cheap looking. Turns out the setting for a 4X6 photo comes in very handy when I want to print the occasional photo myself. At a resolution of up to 4800X1200 color dpi they look just as good as the photos from Walgreens but one photo does take almost a minute to print out.

Since I work from home I primarily use the document printing and scanning function. I like that it has a black and white or color button. I am always happy to save on my color ink. This model has a unique lid which will lay flat over bulky items such as a book. If I want to scan or copy from a book, it will scan/copy from edge to edge. Love that feature.

I am impressed with the 1200-dpi color reproduction of the scanner function, because I discovered that I can use 8x11 photo paper to print out professional looking graphics or photos for my reports. It works great for scanning a collage for scrap booking too. Mostly I am just really surprised that an All-In-One Canon photo printer is available in this price range and is still working fine after eight months.

It has a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Interface and even has Camera Direct Printing. So, if you have a digital camera or DV camcorder that is PictBridge compatible you can print directly - no computer required. It is not the speediest but who cares? This compact Canon Inkjet All-In-One Color Photo Printer is a great little performer for your home office.
