I purchased my Canon PowerShot A560 nearly a year ago. I had been told by friends and online communities that this was a good camera and took really nice pictures. It has a 4x optical zoom and is 7.1 MP. It used to be that the more MP a camera had, the more expensive it was. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Now it's how many options each camera has and what cool things it can do.
This camera has a medium amount of options. I like that you can take black and white and Sepia pictures but at the same time, you can do that with the click of your computer and have a black and white as well as a colored copy. Some of Canons PowerShot features are controlled shutter speed, undelay picture taking, outdoor, indoor, pets & children, portraits, landscapes and nighttime pictures, pixel size, lighting, self timer, red-eye fixture, video and more. The menu is easy to read, and not just because the display screen is quite large compared to other cameras. When in 'Auto' mode the display menu runs down the screen and lets you choose from a variety of options. Some things you, the user, can control and some things the camera automatically does. One thing I dislike about this camera is that it's not as slim as it proclaims. It's quite large for a digital camera compared to what is out now.
This camera is great for someone in need of a good digital camera without a high price tag. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced photographer, everyone can find that this camera is fun and easy to use.
