My family of five and I just returned from a 5 day cruise aboard the Carnival Ecstasy. We visited Cozumel and Progreso, Mexico.
Carnival Ecstasy was a very clean ship, and was obviously very well maintained. My biggest complaint is that my cabin steward was not as good as stewards I have had in the past.
Our tiny stateroom was pretty cramped with five of us sleeping in there, but it was not anything I did not expect. Our cabin had a king-size bed, two upper beds, and a crib that I had our cabin steward remove as my youngest (1 year old) slept in bed with us.
My oldest children enjoyed Camp Carnival, there were many activities available for them to enjoy. There was limited babysitting available for the youngest, which we did not use.
There were many dining options aboard the ship, and the shows were great, I would recommend the Ecstasy to anyone cruising out of Galveston, TX.
