There are many of us out there that no matter the latest technology will continue to be more productive and stay better organized with pen and paper. I am one of those people. I own two electronic organizing devices; however I find myself continually returning to my steadfast and reliable Castelli Daily Desk Diary to keep track of appointments, lists, addresses and daily happenings.
The Castelli Daily Desk Diary is made in Italy and of superb quality. The cover is soft leather with the current year embossed. The binding is very durable and makes it easy to lay flat without worry of pages tearing out.
With the Castelli Daily Desk Diary each month is tabbed. At the bottom of every page is a small perforation to remove the corner page which makes going to the current day super fast. There is also a silk ribbon securely attach to mark your favorite place. The paper used is high quality and low glare, soft white.
The first page of the new month lists each day, noting the day of the week and the week number (1-52). I use this page to note special events for the month - birthdays, anniversaries, etc. It is a great overview of the upcoming month's events.
The second page of the month starts your daily diary with 7AM. Two lines are given for each time slot until 7PM, with a gray area at the bottom for special notes. The top of the page will tell you what week of the year it is. Also at the top, you will see two small monthly calendars showing the previous and next month. US and International holidays are listed under the large print date of the day.
The Castelli Daily Desk Diary includes a removable address booklet - which I love. If you purchase a diary every year, you can remove the blank address book and replace it with your previous one.
The Castelli Daily Desk Diary is the most completely desk dairy/organizer I have ever used. Chalk full of reference pages - weights and measures, time zones, travelers most frequently dialed numbers (airlines, car rentals, etc) and international information to name but a few. I have tried to think of ways to improve on the diary and simply cannot think of even one. I highly recommend the diary to all.
