As someone who is hot natured, I use my ceiling fans a lot. Even in the middle of winter, I have been known to sit under a fan while it's whirling away while my husband complains about how cold it is. Ahh... the joys of marriage.
There are several ceiling fans in our home and each one needs or needed to be replaced. We're in the process of it now, trying to find different fans for each room.
This fan was installed in our bedroom last summer. The old one was ugly and noisy and we thought a newer one might be more efficient too. After searching for weeks and looking at the same ones over and over, we agreed on this one. We both really liked the wicker look at the base, which was different and would look good in our bedroom.
The 52" fan is suspended a few inches from the ceiling, as recommended. There are 3 speeds available, but I doubt it will ever be used on high. If so, I'll have to sneak test it when my husband is not home. Otherwise, he might get frostbite. Our body temperatures are so far apart that it's a challenge year round. I can picture him with the electric blanket on 10 and covered to his eyebrows, while I bask nearly naked with the ceiling fan on high. Growing old is going to be a real treat for us.
There are 4 white lampshades that put out plenty of light for our room. The blades are sort of oval shape and the trim is silver. Together, it makes a very attractive fixture that we are both pleased with.
