I've never been a big believer in multivitamins and holistic type medicines. I know that there's some truth to the claims that some of these places make regarding herbs and votamins, but a lot of it is hooey. I work for a doctor and I'm constantly reading up in different magazines, including JAMA and the journal of the American College of Cardiology and such, regarding different claims of herbal medications. Again, most of it is hooey! One thing that seems to have mixed results are multivitamins. I'm a bad pill taker, but I figured I'd give Centrum a try this year to see if it made a difference. So far I think it has!
I'm usually sick by this time in the season-cough and cold-and it usually lasts most of the winter at least. Pretty miserable. Again, I work in a doctor's office, so I'm exposed to all sorts of bugs ever season. I started taking Centrum in 2008 around October and so far I really haven't been sick! Maybe it's luck, but i really think it has to do with me taking better care of myself nutritionally-that includes taking Centrum every day.
You take on tablet a day-I take mine in the morning right after I brush my teeth :) With that one pill, you get at least 100% of a lot of the vitamins you need every day. I know you guys won't read them here, so if you want a complete listing, go to www.centrum.com.
It is always better to get your vitamins through food sources-some are not as absorbable in pill form. When you don't have time to check to make sure your foods have everything you need, though, Centrum may be a smart way to supplement what you're getting naturally!
