Working out on this machine at the gym is just like running on those escalators found in supermarkets.
Pros: Very detailed satatistics shown. The screen shows time, miles, calories burned, watts, floor climbed, steps taken per minute, time left and also level picked for the workout. A great variety of levels - twenty available levels making it suitable for the young and the old. It gives a range of 24 to 162 steps per minute. A very challenging machines to work on. For my weight, at level one in 10 minutes, I do burn off 48 calories. Hence it does burn off calories fast.
Cons: It is one huge machine and very heavy too so it is definitely not a machine to buy and use in my living room, unless I want that to be my masterpiece there! It does not show pulse rate like other exercise machines. For the elders working out on this machine, you must hold on to the rail or else you might miss a step or two. Once you started the machine, you need to be walking constantly all the time up the stairs or else you will fall off because the bottom most stair does not touch the ground.Too much stepping the stairs on the machine does hurt my inner thigh muscles.
Additional thougts: As compared to staionary bikes and treadmills, this is a more challenging machine that keeps you on your toe all the time.
