I purchased the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory PS 2 game because I babysit with a little 4 year old who absolutely loves the Tim Burton film. I thought he would enjoy playing the game as well, which he does. The game is rated E for Everyone. It's a very simple game and easy to play and follow. The controls are easy and the tasks are somewhat easy. I was able to completel the game in a day's time. I wanted to complete it so that I could help the little guy out when he got stuck.
The object of the whole game is to get Charlie throught the Chocolate Factory and he has to fix the factory as he does so because Evil crazy robots are going through and destroying everything. Charlie gets help from the oompa-loompas as he travels through the factory. each oompa-loompa can do a different task to help Charlie fix the equipment in the factory and the the factory back to good all the while trying to stay away from the robot that give Charlie a nasty shock if they catch him.
If you need help during game play Grandpa Joe gives helpful hints.
There is also candy scattered all through the factory that Charlie has to collect. There is also crazy Wonka-vite that bounces around the factory and will boost Charlies health if he can catch one.
Over all it's a good game, especially if you want something to tide a young child over for a while.
