Over the last year or so, I've been making an effort to replace everything I purchase regularly with more eco-friendly options. One thing I had an interesting time with was laundry soap - it didn't make sense to me to be buying something that was mostly perfume & filler... not to mention the residue it would leave on your clothes even if you used less than a full scoop.

While researching online I found Charlie's Soap. It has absolutely no fragrances added, no filler, no phosphates, no chlorine bleach... and yet it WORKS. Gets the clothes clean, every time. My husband loves it - he has a history of rashes & body acne that would not clear up, no matter what dietary changes he made or what medication his doctor put him on. But when I switched to using the Charlie's Soap for our laundry? His skin is doing much, much better.

Its suitable for high-efficiency washers like front-loading machines, and you only use 1 tablespoon per load so their 3-lb bag will last you a very VERY long time, and take up hardly any space at all. It can be used for more than just laundry - i've used it in desperation in my dishwasher, and it worked okay. It comes in a plastic-lined paper bag with a plastic scoop, so you don't have to worry about finding the correct size of spoon when you're doing your laundry. And its recyclable, so it doesn't have to go in the landfill when you're done.

It can be found at www.charliesoap.com, and I will never use anything else ever again.
