You will find this CD online, for less than £3, and at that price there is no point in getting a pirate copy or an illegal download.
There are sixteen songs on this CD, all are what I would call classics, from all the years she has been singing..
She actually started off as an actress, and she still does a bit, she has been in quite a number of films.
This review is on her Greatest Hits CD 1965 to 1992. I have had this for a a number of years now, it was a gift, and I think Cher has now released another greatest hits CD. On mine, she does songs on her own, and with what was her Husband Sonny Bono, there is also a track done with Meatloaf.
Speaking of Sonny Bono, he got her started in the music industry, and when it came to recording her first disc, it was in front of a live audience, Cher she was too nervous to sing this solo. Sonny agreed to stand alongside her while she performed, but there were still too many nerves, so "I got you Babe" became a Duet! The rest as they say, is history, lots of it, forty odd years later and she has never stopped recording, filming, or performing.
She is still performing nowadays of course, and is doing Las Vegas from time to time. If you want to know more about Cher, take a look at the web site :-
There are also links on there, to the official fan club etc.
She has received criticism for having plastic surgery, slated for being seen drunk, but weathered it all.
She was famous for filming while entertaining the Troops on an Aircraft Carrier, funnily enough, the top brass were surprised to see her in a raunchy outfit, what did they expect!
This CD contains some of my favourites, and I suppose tradition states I need to list them:-
Oh no, not my Baby.
Whenever you're near.
Many rivers to cross.
Love and understanding.
Save up all your tears.
If I could turn back time.
Just like Jesse James.
Heart of stone.
I found someone.
We all sleep alone.
Dead ringer for love.
Gypsys tramps and thieves. (Gypsies as we spell it correctly)
I got you Babe (My favourite)
