I love Sees Candies. I grew up eating chocolate covered Bordous and chocolate suckers. Sure, I like other candy but Sees has always been my favorite chocolate. Put Sees in front of me and I can't just eat one...

Well, I have found a new chocalate candy that is now my favorite and shares the same love I have with Sees. Chocolate Covered Macadamias made by Hawaiian Host. Our landlord recently took a trip to Hawaii and brought back this delicous candy. All it is is a rich chocolate covered macadamia but it is unlike anything else. I have never been to Hawaii or ever had this before.

The chocolate is so smooth and creamy. Not graining like some chocolate I have had. We ate the whole box in one sitting. We even called our landlord to see if she had any more boxes that we could buy from her. The answer was no!

Hawaiian Host Chocolate Covered Macadamias were started by a man named Mamoru Takitani. He lived in Maui and purchased Ellen Dye Candies in 1927 and then renamed it Hawaiian Host. These are now found all over Hawaii from what I understand.

After some research, I was able to find out there is a website I can go to order these. I certainly will do that. For now, Sees Candy is still my favorite, but I will be purchasing Hawaii Host for myself and others when I crave chocolate covered macadamias.
