I bought this chocolate fountain originally for use at my Christmas party. I had visions of cascading chocolate and delicious desserts for dipping. Unfortunately, my vision remained only that and never became a reality. Assembly of the product was easy, but once we dumped the chocolate into the pot and added the oil (as instructed), it took forever to melt. Forty five minutes later, we made some progress on the melting. Once melted, it's supposed to flow up the center tube and come down to form an endless fountain of chocolate (hence the name). I couldn't be more wrong. It got to the top and just stayed there. It never came out of the top, it just got stuck there. Once we realized this was completely unsuccessful, it was time to clean it out so that I could send it back to the company. This was not at all an easy task. After scooping out the wasted chocolate, I had to wash the pot; however beings that it was an electrical appliance, you can't submerge it in water. I couldn't really handle the pot right away because it was too hot, so I had to wait till it cooled; therefore, also allowing the chocolate to harden, making it even more difficult to clean. It was a big mess. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I must say though, that the company was very helpful on giving me the instructions to return it.
