Did you know that eating dark chocolate is good for your health? It can help to maintain a healthy heart and blood system.

Organic dark chocolate is more expensive to buy than regular brands, but Seeds of Change makes the experience of eating chocolate a special pleasure. Seeds of Change donates 1% of profits from sales to research, and promotes diversity and sustainability in the production of its organic produce. The certified organic cocoa used in their chocolate production comes mainly from the Dominican Republic, and helps farmers there to get a fair price for their crops. Seeds of Change also supports conservation projects in Brazil.

I bought a bar of Dark Chocolate with Hazelnut and Walnut. The chocolate is not as bitter as some I have tried. It contains 59% minimum cocoa solids and is very smooth. The nuts are chopped into pieces, but I could actually taste the difference between the hazelnuts and the walnuts.

The only drawback with this chocolate is that it tastes so good I could eat the whole bar. For good health it is recommended to eat one ounce of dark chocolate a day. One ounce! I don't know how much that would be but I could not eat a little and leave the rest for another day.

This is a luxury food, so I will not be buying it every week. I can enjoy it as a treat and know it to be a good 'environmentally friendly' product.
