I have Boutioneer Deformity and nerve damage in both hands, I also have Lumbar Disc Disease and on my way to my second back surgery. I have tried many many different ways to get some pain relief from heating pads, ointments, braces, surgery, physical therapy, you name it I have probably tried it at some point in time. This one so far is the only one that has had some benefit. I would say for the first week I was loopy, light headed and dizzy. After the first few days I was feeling better than I have in years, I was not totally pain free but there was a huge improvement and that is worth more to me than any money! Due to the fact that it is a narcotic I have to keep it locked in a lock box in our gun safe, and thats the part I do not like. But as Far as effective pain relief this is the only one I have tried that gives me some pain relief. I do still take fast acting paid medicines for break through pain, but the oxycontin I only take every 12 hours. I was leary of taking it at first because you hear so many bad things about it, but my doctor assured me that if taken correctly it is one of the best agents to come out in a long time. If your doctor brings this up with you, listen to him, follow directions as prescribed and you will get some of your life back.
