Churchill, A Biography, is a biography about the famous British man, Winston Churchill, who is an icon of modern history. I recieved this book as my Christmas present. At first, I was frustrated, because it seemed so incredibly boring, but after I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I had never heard of Winston Churchill before, but after reading this book, it's as if I had met him just last week. This book was excellently written. It was a New York Times Bestseller. The book goes from his childhood to the critical World War II periods and beyond, in this one single definitive volume. Roy Jenkins, the author of this book, was a member of the House of Lords. He combined unparalleled command of British political history and his very own government experience into a narrative account of Winston Churchill's career. I learned a ton from this book, and it has really been able to help me. We've just learned about WWII in my history class, and with knowledge from this book, I was able to ace that unit. This book is truly unforgettable. The life of Winston Churchill was incredibly fascinating. I recommend reading it, as it will be worth your money.
