I have had the Citicard Diamond Preferred Mastercard for about 4 years. They offer different incentives at different times but I have always thought their offers were great. When I signed up, I was awarded with 5000 points after my first purchase.

They also offer different point bonuses. I am currently getting 1 point for all purchases and 4 more points for purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, and drug stores/pharmacies. These points can be redeemed for merchandise, gift cards, travel rewards or cash rewards.

I have always redeemed my points for gift cards. The one thing I don't like is that they did change the point requirement for $50.00 gift card. They used to offer a $50.00 for 5, 000 points. Now, you must redeem 6, 000 points for a $50.00 gift card. You can redeem 10, 000 points for a $100.00 gift card, but they don't have the choices I want for $100.00. So, now I have 26, 000 points because I'm hoping they'll add a gift card I want for $100.00. Sure, I could just get a 4 $50.00 gift cards since I have enough points, but that would cost me 24, 000 points instead of 20, 000 if they offered them in $100.00 increments.

Other than that, I am extremely happy with Citicard. Their customer service is excellent and they have a great fraud alert team. I have been traveling out of state before and they will call me to make sure that my card is not stolen since it is being used outside my area. Also, if I don't use my card for awhile, they will call me to make sure it is me using the card.

There is no annual fee for this card. Also, the rates are competive. I pay my card off in full every month, but it makes me feel better to have a low rate just in case I can't.

I have told many friends about this great card and I will continue to do so. Sometimes, you can even get points for referring someone!
