Ice Elements Revitalizing Crème Cleanser is a gentle non-foaming cleanser that is perfect for those with sensitive or dry skin. Like all other Ice Elements products this one has a base of aloe vera with no added water.
It took me a little bit to get used to this cleanser as it is a non-foaming cleanser and I was used to the types that had lots of suds. Although I wanted to eliminate the surfactants in my skin cleanser, as they have a negative effect on skin over time, I wasn’t prepared on transitioning to one without suds. It just felt like it wasn’t cleaning my face enough.
Thankfully, Ice Elements has “white glove customer service” so I was able to speak with the President of the company, who personally formulated the cleanser.
How cool is that?!
After speaking with Shelly, I learned that it may be best to apply the cleanser to dry skin. She also directed me to use only a nickel to a quarter size of cleanser, so as not to waste it. I was further instructed that I could either use a gentle massage with dry fingers or I could wet my fingers for more slip.
Through trial and error, I found that using it on dry skin with dry fingers worked best for me. I also found that removing the cleanser with a warm damp cloth worked best, especially for makeup removal.
The cleanser is so gentle that it can be used over the entire eye area. I am able to do this even while wearing contact lenses with no irritation.
One of the things that I like best about this cleanser is that once I remove it my skin feels dewy and moist. Other cleansers had left my dry skin feeling tight and raw.
A 6 oz bottle of cleanser goes a very long way. It lasts me a good 3 months.
