I don't have a dishwasher, and I really hate that. I am the sole dishwasher in my house, my boyfriend won't even touch them. If it were left up to him, dishes would pile to the ceiling before he would do them. Anyway, I used to buy whatever dishsoap was cheapest, didn't matter what brand. When I decided to switch over to a more natural brand, I, first, tried making my own. That was a complete disaster. Then I did some research on ones that were made for me. I about choked when I saw the price on most of them. I am not spending $6 on a bottle of dishsoap!
One day, while in Hannaford, Planet's dishsoap caught my eye and it was only $2.69! I looked it up once I got home to see if there was anything bad written about it. All the reviews I found were good, in fact, it comes highly recommended as a green dishsoap.
There are only four ingredients: coconut oil based cleaner, baking soda, amine oxide, and salt. No fragrances and no sodium laureth sulfate. Despite not having any SLS, it suds wonderfully. I rarely need to add extra. I also love that it doesn't leave my dishes greasy. One bottle lasts a good, long time (I'm still on my first one).
This dishwashing liquid is 100% biodegradeable. You could feasably wash your dishes in a stream if you were camping. It can also wash pets, cars, and fruits and vegetables. I plan on using this as long as they make it.
