If you have read my review on Swiffer dusters, you know that I like a clean house, hate to clean and try to maximize my output on cleaning days. Swiffer WetJet is one of the tools I use to get this done. I have loads of ceramic tile and mopping all of it used to be a big chore. Now with the Swiffer WetJet, it goes much faster, my floors get clean, and my hands never touch dirty mop water. You start by buying a Swiffer starter kit, which contains the power mop, two disposable cleaning pads, one bottle of multi-purpose cleaning solution and a scrubbing strip for getting those tough spots. Be sure to pick up the batteries that are needed as they are not included. Assembly is easy. Snap the three piece mop together, insert the bottle of cleaning solution, and attach the cleaning pad and scrubbing strip. Push the button and mop! What could be easier? The solution is dispensed, and the cleaning pads wipe it and the dirt up. The Swiffer WetJet is light-weight and maneuverable so getting those hard to reach places, like behind the toilet is much easier. When you are finished, just remove the dirty cleaning pad and toss it in the trash.
Swiffer WetJet cannot be used on carpet, unfinished wood or unsealed tile, but you are good to go on just about everything else.
The down side to the Swiffer WetJet is that you will have to buy replacement cleaning pads and solution. I always look for sales and coupons. I can get through my house twice on one cleaning pad, and I mop most of it. How long yours last will depend on how dirty your floors are. Hopefully, Swiffer WetJet will help keep your floors from becoming so dirty that it takes a whole bottle of cleaner and two or three cleaning pads to get it clean.
