I have been using Clinique Different Lipstick for many years. What started out to be a sample in one of Clinique's Gift With Purchase packages, has remained a staple in my cosmetics collection. I like Clinique's color selection and the fact that this lipstick is fragrance free and hypoallergenic. Different Lipstick is described as moderate, non-staining coverage. I used to love the packaging of this lipstick. The classic silver container always looked pretty. Then Clinique went and changed the packaging. It still looks the same when you first purchase it, but before long, the silver cap turns into an ugly tarnished gold (see my photo), while the bottom remains the bright shiny silver I loved. Also, the cap is now loose and falls off the tube, whereas before it used to fit snugly. I am very disappointed in this new cheap packaging. Perhaps Clinique has gone back to the old packaging since my last few lipstick purchases, I do not know. I will purchase one more tube of Different Lipstick. If Clinique is still using the same cheap packaging, I will break a tradition of many years and find another brand. Too bad, because I have been happy with it. I will say, according to NAVS, Clinique, owned by Estee Lauder, does not do animal testing on their products (unless required by law), however, when I try to click on the page that takes you to Estee Lauder's animal testing policy, it comes up as an error page. Thanks!
