This year we went to Marmaris in Turkey for a two-week family holiday, we stayed at the Club Ilayda, we chose self catering as we worried that the kids would not eat the food. We traveled with Thomson's travel. My first impression of the hotel was that it was quite small, however I was so wrong. The reception area is of a good size, here you can find a few shops, such as a jewellers and a hairdressers and the safes were you can keep important personal belongings, leading off from the reception was the indoor bar area, again quite big. There was also an area to eat as well as an eating area outdoors.

Outside the bar was the pool, outdoor bar, eating area and entertainment area. The pool was a good size and there were games everyday for both adults and kids, as well as a slide, and there was entertainment each night which suited all age groups, the staff were always friendly and helpful and music played throughout the day.

The food was lovely, although we went self catering, we bought dinner in the resort on a few occasions and it was quite reasonably priced. The service from the waiting staff was excellent .

The rooms were a good size and had marble floors throughout. We had all the essentials we needed including a flat screen tv, the rooms got cleaned each day and were all in all very comfortable, the bedrooms were also a good size and the beds were extremely comfortable.

This is a place I highly recommend and intend on returning to soon
