I tried this product after being sick numerous times and having countless prescriptions fail. I've always tried not to use medications when I have a simple cold or flu, but some days you just can't survive without them!! I got to the point where I was having to take so many different antibiotics or cold medicine just to get through the day. That doesn't seem healthy to me. I can't see anything good coming from chemical injections to ease the effects of a cold/infection. My very hippy sister suggested I try the natural way and go organic to fight off pesky colds, that were haunting me every couple of months or so. She's a firm believer in natural healing and the old school ways of doing things. She got me on this Oil of Oregano when I was suffering from a killer head cold. I bought it at a natural store in the mall for about $14 at 15ml. I know it doesn't seem like much, but I've had this bottle for over a year now and there's hardly a dent in it! They key is...when you first feel the signs of a cold/flu coming on, put 1-3 drops into juice. You'll want it to be a stronger flavoured juice since this stuff is pretty harsh tasting. Imagine swallowing a handful of oregano leaves. Ya the taste is horrible. But it works. REALLY! I took the 3 drops in juice for two days straight and didn't end up getting a full blown cold. My symptoms were gone even before the first runny nose!! The oil of oregano can also be used for allergies, hay fever, fighting fungus and even great for ear aches. Just put a few drops on a cotton swab and place in your ear. Wear that around for a day or two, and you should notice the pain is gone.
Oil of oregano has been know for it's potency in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory drugs and was used as a natural antiseptic back in the 50's. It's been around for quite a while and has cured many illnesses when modern medicine could not. The only thing you have to be careful with is the good fungus we all have in our systems. Since it destroys all fungus and infections, you'll have to dose up on probiotics so you don't get really sick. Other than that, if you can get past the nasty taste...it's worth a try! It's the first thing I grab when I'm starting to feel sluggish.
