We are into graduation party season and we were in need of a new cooler. Coming from a large family, we all bring a dish to pass to make it easier when we each host a get-together. Last year we brought sliced ham when my niece had her graduation party and I had to go out and find trays that would fit in our normal cooler, which was not as easy as I thought it would be. I volunteered to bring ham again for my nephew's party this year, so when my sister-in-law told me about this new Coleman cooler she saw, I went right out to take a look at it.
The Coleman 25 Quart Party Stacker Cooler is perfect and just the size I was looking for. It has a large interior that will hold 24 cans of pop, plus ice, one or two 13 x 9 covered casserole dishes, or 2 or more layers of a small cookie sheet size tray. Check out the picture with my 11-1/2" x 15-1/2" cookie sheet in the cooler. I used two of these covered with foil to arrange the ham. I put one tray out and kept the other nicely chillled until we needed it. These coolers are made for stacking with a special interlocking base and a specially designed recessed lid. When we stack the coolers they will not slide off each other.
I purchased two, one in red and one in green. It also comes in blue but that color was not to be found anywhere. I can now keep cold food in one cooler and hot food in the other and when stacked they are the same height as our normal cooler, only wider. There are large molded handles on each side for easy carrying and the cooler itself only weighs 4.95 lbs. The dimensions are 22" L x 13-1/2" W X 9" H.
These coolers would be perfect for camping, parties, picnics, tailgating, cookouts, or wherever you need a cooler. They are well insulated with high density polyethylene construction, made to keep your cold food cold with ice, or hot food hot with a warming pack. I told my husband he could give our old cooler to Goodwill as I will be using these Coleman Stackers from now on. They can be stacked in the trunk of your car, slid under the seat, or placed individually with other camping equipment or picnic items piled on top.
When purchasing our coolers we found a whole line of Coleman Stacking Coolers in different sizes. I wish I had known about these last year, it would have been so much easier to have a couple of trays of ham, instead of 5 smaller ones!! These rate a 10 with me as far as coolers go.
