I have to say that I love old westerns and one of my favorite actors is Randolph Scott. In May of 1950 Warner Brothers released Colt .45 staring Randolph Scott. The movie ran for 74 minutes and had no rating. You see in 1950 you did not see all the movie with bad language and nudity. The movies were watched because of the actors or the story line back then.
This wester has Randolph Scott playing Steve Farrell an ex military man who is now a salesmen for the colt .45 a new gun. The Colt fired six times instead of once. This guy was very new at only the military had these guns at this point. Steve Farrell was visiting town marshals so that they got a chance to get these guns to help make their job easier. It was at this time there was a jail brake and the prisoner got his hands on a pair of these new colts. The prisoner will make his way from state to state causing death every where. Steve Farrell will have to prove his innocence so that he can go after the real killer. Steve wants his guns back.
Ruth Roman plays Beth Donovan the wife of one of the outlaws. She is fooled into thinking her husband was an unwilling participant in these robberies and killings. When she finds out that her husband is one of the outlaws she sets out to make things right. She will be shot at and thrown around but she will keep on going.
The western is full of action. There are gun fights and horse chases and even Indians. The Indians in this movie are good ones though. I would recommend this movie for anyone who likes old westerns. It is a good story and fun to watch as well. You will not have to worry about the kids watching the movie either. Good old fashion fun.
