I like the Comfort Cushion Lumbar Support automotive seat cushion because it's more like using a beaded seat cover than a cushion that has a flat surface. You ask why not use a beaded cushion then? Well, because I have bought more than a few of those and they just don't last, they come apart after a very short time.
The cushion fastens to the auto seat with elastic straps. There are two small hooks provided that can attach to the lower elastic bands and can be hooked around some convenient place on the car to hold the straps where you want them. This is really nice. (The beaded covers never could be fastened down enough to keep them from moving around which led to their short life span.) The elastic straps aren't the best quality, but you can tie a knot to shorten them when they begin to stretch out. But the straps do hold the seat cushion securely, which is especially important if you get in and out of the car a lot. I do deliveries, and have to get in and out of the car dozens of times a day.
The cushion is a puffy molded foam, and the "bubbles" feel like little air pockets. They do a good job of keeping your back from pressing flat on the seat cushion. They work better than I thought they would.
I've been using this cushion for almost six months, and except for the stretching elastic, it has held up really well, much better than the beaded cushions.
It claims to provide good lumbar support, but I can't say that I've noticed that particularly, one way or the other, but it is not a real issue for me.
Overall, the cushion makes being in the car so much feel more relaxing than not having a cushion.
