My husband is a truck driver and he has started driving over the road again, he is away from home for at least 2-3 weeks at time. The purpose of him going back on the road driving is for financially reasons.
The other down fall of him being away from home beside not being able to be together as a family is that of the expense to eat while he is away. It would make no since for him to be away from home to make more money if what extra he did make we would have to shell out on restaurant food.
So my husband went to Walmart and bought himself this little compact refrigerator for his truck, He has an inverter in his semi which allows him plug in a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, electric shaver and whatever else he may need.
This compact refrigerator fits fine in his truck, it is a 2.7 cu ft, he has two shelves a little freezer, and space on the door to store bottled soda or cans. It is energy efficient. It has been working great for him to keep his drinks cold, he has been using it to keep salads, cold cuts/meats, mayonnaise and more in it. He was even able to fit a gallon jug of milk inside. This is the perfect size for what he needs it for and the amount of space is has to put it in.
The freezer is very small and rather useless in my opinion is does come with a tiny little ice tray. But my husband and I both agree that it would be better not to have the freezer and use that little spot for more room in the refrigerator. But beside the little freezer I think it was well worth the money and has saved us money on him having to eating out, it was worth the $60.00 we paid and had it not been on sale we probably would have still paid the $100.00 for it.
