I originally purchased these Wilton Indulgence three-tier stackable cooling racks for something other than cooling cakes and cookies. I bought them to use in my cooler so I could stack trays of ham I was taking to a party, without smashing them on top of each other. That worked perfectly and I now I have this nice set of cooling racks to add to my baking accessories.
These cooling racks are black in color and made with dura-release, making them non-stick. They measure 15-7/8" x 9-7/8" each, and when storing the three on top of each other they total only 1" in height.
The beauty of having these is that I can use them individually or stack the 3 racks on top of each other. This is done by pulling out the collapsible legs and positioning them in a small groove of the rack beneath it, which keeps the next one securely in place.
After purchasing these I find myself using them more often than I thought. I can cool cookies, rolls and zucchini bread all in one small spot on my kitchen counter. I like that they are dishwasher safe but I usually just wipe them down with a wet paper towel. They are lightweight and take up very little storage space on the side of a cabinet. They are sturdy and well made and I've not had any problems using them.
Being a crafter, I also think these Wilton racks would make great drying trays when I'm painting or scrapbooking items for the holidays and need space, but don't have a lot of room. Stacking makes this an ideal solution and I'm already looking for ways to use them by purchasing another set just for that purpose.
These Wilton racks get my stamp of approval.
