I have had my Swivel Sweeper for about a month now. I got it on EBay for $19.95 plus $9.99 for shipping. Yes, it was an impulse buy and I was so worried I was going to regret it! I read reviews before I bought it. The reviews seemed to go one way or the other-either people HATED it or LOVED it. I am one who absolutely LOVES mine!

It felt kind of flimsy when I was putting it together because it is so light weight but actually it is pretty sturdy (I’m talking about the metal handle part)

Assembly was easy! You just screw the handle pieces together and the sweeper unit then snaps and you’re done.

It comes with a battery and charger. This needs to charge for at least 8 hours before your first use. After that charging times vary. I have never run it completely down so I am not sure exactly how long a full charge will last. I can say that I have used it multiple times a day, for a week without charging and its still been ok. I usually throw it on the charger before it goes dead.

So this little thing really does clean up JUST LIKE IT DOES ON THE INFOMERCIAL. There are battery powered rotating brushes on all 4 sides of the sweeper. Of course they are not as powerful as a vacuum cleaner but let me tell you, it does an awesome job sweeping up. It even gets the dust! I have a messy 10 month old (and husband…and 16yr old for that matter) and this swivel sweeper has made clean up so much faster and easier. I can not express how happy I am with this gizmo! It works on carpeted areas and hard floors. It even picked up the extra/loose carpet fibers.

Just to avoid any confusion, it isn't really a vacuum...it doesn't actually have any suction, the rotating brushes are what cause the pick up of debris. It picks up cheerios, dust, crumbs, hair and just about anything else you can think of...provided it is not a really large piece of something. Also...you probably don't want to pick up anything sticky or wet...that would gunk up the brushes!

Ok…so even though I absolutely LOVE mine in all fairness here’s a few things that may REALLY bother some people.

The dust/debris collection “cup” is small so it fills up a bit fast. It’s super easy to empty but could be a pain to some people I suppose.

Also the brushes will get wound up with hair and sometimes fuzz and you will have to clean them. We have had to do that every 2 -3 days in this house because my daughter and I have long hair that falls out like crazy. This part I find a bit annoying...BUT I still love my swivel sweeper.

There is a safety feature that automatically shuts off the rotating brushes if your brushes get too clogged up with hair. Also it comes with a cleaning tool…it actually looks like a mini seam ripper to make the job easier.

One last thing, I suppose some people may find the noise it makes irritating. It isn’t all that loud…I think it sounds like a remote control toy helicopter.

Well, as I have said I have this Swivel Sweeper for about a month now so I can’t really comment on “long term” performance. I will update this review if I start having any kind of problems but for now I would so recommend this product for anyone who wants to simplify and shorten the sweeping and mess clening in their home, motor home, office etc.

NOTE- They do have replacement parts available to order if you should need them...the info comes with the Sweeper and they have a website as well.
