I just needed a tube of waterproof (I usually just wear the regular kind) mascara, and I was looking for the cheapest option. The supermarket I was in had a very limited cosmetics section, and they didn't carry any of the really cheap cosmetics such as Wet 'n Wild, so this CoverGirl mascara was the lowest priced option. I didn't see any color options other than black, which was what I wanted anyway. The packaging it came in is standard for mascara - flimsy cardboard and plastic, nothing too environmentally unfriendly or difficult to get into, although why they don't simply put a safety seal on the tube and skip the packaging altogether is beyond me. The ingredients were listed on the package, and I've already thrown that away, but I think it's safe to assume that waterproof mascara does not have any oil in it, as that would be counterproductive. If stale beer is an actual fragrance, then that's definitely an ingredient, because that's what this stuff smells like. It is long lasting, which can be expected with most waterproof mascaras, but I was either a bit oily or I applied too much eye cream, because this did rub off on my lower lids late in the day (I had not applied it to my lower lashes, only the top ones). I didn't think this did a stellar job of thickening or lengthening, but it did separate my lashes without clumps.
