I have used the Cover Girl liquid foundation since I was in high school (so a long time), along with their loose powder. I was looking for a way to shorten my morning routine, so I decided to try the Cover Girl Tru Blend powder and foundation combination. It feels greasy to the touch, where the liquid feels satiny, and the loose powder feels like powder. It comes with a sponge for application, and you smooth it on much as you would pressed powder. As soon as I put it on, it felt heavier than my liquid foundation/powder routine, despite it claiming to be lightweight. It didn't blend as well, though its slick/greasy texture did make it easy to spread on my face. The color I selected didn't blend as well as I had expected, since the product claims to blend with 97% of skin tones. After I applied a layer, I had to add more to my nose and chin, because the foundation didn't cover the skin evenly. At that point, I should have been finished, but my face looked very shiny. I didn't add loose powder, and I noticed the makeup seemed to have melted off by lunchtime. I tried it with a layer of loose powder the next morning, and it helped with the shine and kept the makeup on longer, but if I have to use the powder (that it isn't supposed to need), I might as well keep with my original liquid foundation that looks and works better. The product, overall, didn't meet my expectations.
