I absolutely love makeup but one thing I've always avoided is lipstick. Don't get me wrong, I think lipstick is goregous, but whenever I use lipstick it always wears off really easy or smears and I have to keep reapplying it. (And that is usually the case with all lipsticks, even the "long lasting" kind.) So I normally only wear lipstick when I am going to be taking pictures or going to some speical event.

But I'm kind of bored with never wearing any color on my lips so I decided to try a lipstain. Covergirl's Outlast lipstain, to be precise. I've tried a few lipstains before but they didn't work very well for me. They all had a weird taste or felt really sticky (even hours later, after it should have had plenty of time to dry) but I haven't had that problem with the Outlast lipstain.

I've been using it for a while now and I really like it. The applicator looks like a felt tip marker, but it's very easy to apply. The lipstains I've used in the past were messy and it was hard to get the color on just right but the Outlast lipstain goes on really easy. Honestly, it would be pretty hard to mess up the application process.

It has a pleasant smell and taste and after it dries it doesn't feel sticky like a lot of other stains do. It lasts a very long time as well. It doesn't come off at all. I actually rubbed my lips several times throughout the day to see if it would stain my hand and it didn't. I even went to sleep with it on. (I know, you should always remove make up before going to bed, but I had a really rough day and I was exhausted.) Imagine my surprise when I sleepily stumbled into the bathroom the next morning only to look at the mirror and see that it was STILL on and looked great! My hair was a mess, the rest of my make up was smeared, but my lips looked absolutely perfect! Of course, it does come off with make up remover or plain old soap and water, but you don't have to worry about anything else causing it to rub off.

The only negative thing I can think of (which isn't necessarily a negative depending on what you're looking for) is that the color I bought looks a little darker than I expected it to. It still looks great on me, but I think the color I have is a little too dark to wear at work. I still love this product though, and if you're looking for a great lipstain I'd definately recommend this one.
