If the eyes are the window of the soul, then the eyebrows are the windowframes. Smashbox Brow Tech, along with the Angle Brow Brush, will help you to color, shape, and tidy up your brows for the perfect look.
Brow Tech now comes in six shades, Blonde, Brunette, Auburn, Taupe, Gray, and Soft Brown, with Soft Brown being the newest. Almost anyone can wear Taupe; the other shades are somewhat less forgiving. The general rule for brows is that they shouldn't be significantly darker than your hair color. Brunette should not be used by anyone with brown hair, only with black hair. I've found that Auburn is too dark for my red hair, but using blonde over my naturally dark brows gives me a more natural look. I recommend you visit a Smashbox counter and try a couple out before you buy one.
The round pot that Brow Tech comes in contains color on one side, and a wax on the other to keep the color in and the brows in place. Before applying color, use a brow brush to your brows. Use the angle brush to apply color and brush it gently through your brows, then follow up with a small amount of the wax to keep the color in place all day. I actually prefer to use a clear brow gel with a mascara-style brush to hold the color in, but that's a personal preference.
The price for great brows isn't low; the Brow Tech is $24, and the #12 Angle Brow Brush is $20. It does last a long time, however, and since the color is a pure pigment it won't "go bad" like mascara. Just be sure to clean the brush regularly. Because of the price, I can't give it a 5, but it functions at a perfect 5 level.
