I had heard people talking about Crocs for years, but I never tried any of their shoes on for myself to see what all the hype was about. I also thought their clogs with the holes in them that come in the loud colors were a bit silly when worn outside of a pool or garden.
I couldn't resist these, however, because of their color. They weren't too expensive, but when I received them I was afraid they would be too uncomfortable. They seemed very thin and flimsy. However, after wearing them for a short while I was convinced they were the most comfortable shoes I'd ever worn.
I thought I would feel every rock or hard surface under the thin soles. But I don't, and the little nubs on the bottom of the shoe gently massage your feet without being uncomfortable. I can spend all day walking around at the mall and not have sore feet.
I always take my shoes off as soon as I get home or come in from being outside. These Crocs sandals are the first pair of shoes I've ever had that I actually forget to take off (because they don't hurt my feet and they are so light). They are also easy to clean. The material is some kind of synthetic that you could even hose off if you needed to and then dry almost immediately. The heel is ¾" and the platform is ½" thick.
I'm going to buy some more Crocs sandals soon (in more neutral colors like black) because I think they are all I'm going to wear from now on. But shop on Endless.com with caution. They usually offer free overnight shipping on their shoes. I don't know about you, but that kind of instant gratification makes me even more likely to make an impulsive shoe purchase.
