At my job as a registered nurse, I am constantly on my feet and often log many miles a day running back and forth from patient to patient. The only shoes I trust my feet with for those long 13 hour days are my Crocs.
I have been wearing my Crocs since I began nursing two years ago. Even after a long 12-13 hour shift, I never go home with aching feet or legs. My Crocs are lightweight, waterproof, stain-resistant and easy to clean. I frequently wipe them down with Bleach wipes to disinfect them and they still have not lost their color (Navy blue). They can even be placed in the washing machine or dishwasher if you so choose! There is also a new professional model that is made with antimicrobial materials.
Even though my Crocs are comfortable, they do have their down sides. I prefer to wear the type with holes in them as the type without the holes tends to make my feet overheat and feel sweaty. The plastic type material that they are made out of just does not breathe well without the holes in it. On the other hand, the type with the holes are terrible to wear in the rain! If I step in the least little puddle, my socks will be soaked from the holes both on top and the sides.
Even with their down sides and although they aren't the most attractive or stylish shoes, I will still continue to faithfully wear my Crocs to work and beyond!
