This oceanside resort is located in the Shipyard Plantation of Hilton Head Island, SC. The prices of the rooms vary on the website from $200 to $500 dollars. I found mine on Hotwire for $72. The rate was great but they give you a very bad room over the restaurants if you book with Hotwire. The whole room smelled like grease. Obviously the balconey was unusable because of the smell.

The rooms are all two double or one king bed. The double beds are way too small. The double bed rooms say they have a limit of 5 per room. We had five but one was a baby in a crib. The rooms are very large. There is plenty of room for them to put 2 queens in instead and I think it would make staying there much more enjoyable.

I asked to be moved on the second morning because I am a platinum member of their rewards club. They had a courtyard view available and we were happy to take it. We really couldn't see the courtyard with the palm trees blocking our view but it was nice to be able to sit outside without getting a greasy feeling.

The walk to the beach takes about 5 minutes. It's not too bad. The beach is very clean and there is a lifeguard on duty with rentals available. There is an outdoor pool, kiddie pool and an indoor pool and spa. There is a bar that is open in the late afternoon at the outdoor pool. There is a fitness center, bike rentals and a kiddie camp that is only open during tourist season.

There are 3 restaurants onsite. The menus were posted around the hotel and they looked good. I can't comment to the food because we didn't eat there. It's not that far off the resort to go and get something for cheaper.

There is a "resort fee" of $12 a day. You will have to pay this upfront when you check in if you chose to not leave a credit card on file. This fee really bothered me. They should just add it on to the price of the rooms and people probably wouldn't be upset. Instead you get a list of what the resort fee is covering when you check in. Some of the things on there were coffee in your room, (the same little bag you get at Holiday Inn Express), 15 minutes of free internet and self parking. Seriously they charge us to park our own cars! They also have valet parking which they will charge you extra for.

This hotel was worth it to us because of the deal we got on Hotwire. It was nice for a quick trip where we were looking to spend some time at the beach and pools. I would never recommend staying here and paying the full price.
