When we got married my mom made sure to point out this uncle hates chocolate, his mom doesn't like icing, your sister is allergic to vanilla, and so on and so forth. She found a local baker named Georgie who made assorted cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake for us. It was a great idea, and it insured there was something for everyone.
She made dark chocolate, chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut, french vanilla, strawberry, carrot cake, buttered pecan, red velvet and swirl cupcakes for our wedding cakes, and displayed them on beautiful tiered stands. Each cupcake was decorated differently, with hearts, L's for our last name, and words such as "Love" for chocolate, "Hope" for dark chocolate, "Forever" for vanilla, and so on.
It was not only unique, but also a crowd pleaser, our guests oohed and ahhed over the beautiful display of cupcakes, and there were plenty to go around, and every guest was able to try several and take one home with them for later.
As soon as I am finished unpacking I will add photos to this review so you can see for yourself how pretty they were.
The cupcakes were huge, and they were pretty good, but I wasn't super crazy for the icing personally.
