Curly Wurly is one of the newest shampoo offerings from Lush, and currently the only one targeted at curly or wavy hair. Made with coconut, fresh eggs and papaya, and seven oils or butters it is designed to be massaged into hair rather than lathered, so that hair is well coated with conditioning ingredients. Despite that, it doesn't leave hair oily and sticky, but rinses well - just make sure you get all the desiccated coconut out!

The scent is based on vanilla and coconut and is subtle enough to layer with most Lush hair treatment products but provides you with a gentle wisp of coconut fragrance that follows you through the day. My color-treated, wavy, and post-partum thinned hair is left with better definition and more resistance to humidity after use, and it allows me to use a very light conditioner and retain some bounce and movement, rather than trying to treat my hair with a heavier product.

Using this product on straight hair won't give you curls, but it does leave hair very soft, manageable, and shiny. I have used this product on my children; infant, preschooler, and first grader, and none of them have complained about any eye irritation but I would NOT class this as a baby shampoo, merely one mild enough to use carefully on a child.

If you have drains that clog easily, you may wish to consider putting a strainer over your drain to capture the coconut, but otherwise this is a very pleasant product!
