Just as we age, our eyes age. They get weaker and we often put off getting reading glasses as long as possible. I have been fighting the reading glasses for awhile and finally decided it was time when I was not able to read the newspaper print. I found these really cute and stylish readers at Walmart. I really like them because they are different. They are well constructed and have some "bling" too! I found them in two colors, one in brown and the other in black. The brown seems to look better on me because I have blonde hair. If your hair is darker perhaps the black color would fit you better. On both sides of the front lenses there are rhinestones which is what attracted me to them in the first place. Hey, if I have to wear "cheaters" I should have something special. I'm sure you have seen the little fold up readers in the tubes........those just never seem to be well made. This pair comes with a soft case so that you can keep them from being scratched in your purse.

The readers come in 5 different strengths. Mine is only +1.00 which isn't very strong but just the right amount to be able to read print of newspaper size. There was a reading chart at Walmart in case you aren't sure what strenght you need. My eye doctor told me that once you hit the age of 40 everyone will start to see a decline in their reading without the help of glasses. So I guess I have been lucky because I just turned 53 and had to give in and buy some. He actually told me to just go to the store and buy the ones off the shelf instead of investing in a pair of prescription glasses. So I took his advice and found these for about $10.00 at Walmart.

I really like them.....well as much as I can.......I still would prefer not having to use glasses at all!
