As soon as I saw this coffee mug tree I knew that I was going to be taking it home with me. I love my coffee and I also love enjoying my coffee in great looking mugs. This set of 6 glass coffee cups came together with a black steel holder in the shape of a kitchen chef. It's very understated but different looking and I think that is one of the main reasons I wanted it.
I haven't used the coffee mugs for coffee yet and of course my family has to tease me about that as I have a tendancy to purchase things that look nice and then never use them because of this.
The glass coffee cups are quite sturdy and the kids have used them a few times to grab water in when they didn't want to take the time to open the dishwasher or the cupboard to get a glass. I've run them through the dishwasher about 3 times and they've come out looking great with no chipping or damage. I wouldn't want to continuously wash them in the dishwasher however, due to the abrasiveness of dishwasher detergent but for those odd times I don't see any noticeable difference in how they look.
The little chef is designed from black steel and each hook is designated to hold one of the glass cups. It currently just sits on the counter looking cute but for $10.99 it isn't expensive enough to feel pressured to get use out of the cups and it makes a great little conversation piece just the way it is.
