I am currently taking this protein as my post workout supplement in season (Track and Field - Sprinter). The main deciding factor behind buying Monster Milk was the amount of amino acids that it contained. Amino acids are a very often overlooked when buying a post workout supplement. Amino acids are great for recovery and help the body spend less time in a catabolic state (the state in which your muscles are breaking down). I am currently at the end of my first tub of this protein and definitely plan on buying another very soon.
I thought the taste of this protein was pretty good, definitely better than the last protein that I reviewed (Muscle Asylum's Freak Fix). Although it still wasn't the greatest thing that I've ever tasted, but then again most proteins don't taste that good. The mixability was good too for Monster Milk. I noticed very little clumping when mixed with a shaker and water. This protein has been working very well for me since I've bought it. I've seen great gains in lean muscle, but I don't think I'd recommend it for someone that's looking to put on more mass. But for me being a runner building lean muscle is more important. Also, the massive amount of amino acids helped me recover from some grueling workouts both on the track and in the gym. On another note, I also sometimes take this supplement before I go to sleep because it also contains slow acting proteins. I would without a doubt recommend Monster Milk for someone that was looking to find a great protein to build lean muscle. The only negative that I could think of for this supplement was the little bit of a steeper price, but you can always search online for a cheaper price.
