Now, being at the ripe old age of 17, I think I can honestly say I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to magazine reading. When I first saw this magazine, it was on display at Urban Outfitters. After one glimpse, I knew I was in love. Like most magazines, Nylon features sections on fashion, beauty, music, movies, books, art & travel. It's geared toward teenagers+. But unlike a lot of "mainstream" magazines, this features a lot of articles on small, independent designers, artists, & bands. What could possibly be cooler? Sometimes, there are even DIY sections. I can't remember what month, but in one of my favorite issues, there was an article showing how to make shorts with suspenders out of an old pair of pants. How cool! Now, I know magazines are made to be one big ad, & Nylon is no exception, but if you're going to spend your time reading up on all of the "material importance's", why not check out a cool mag with very trendy stories & tips? Nylon is the length of most other magazines (Cosmo, Seventeen, etc.) & everytime I'm finished with an issue, I'm left wanting more. & for all you guys out there, make sure to check out Nylon Guys!
