When I first saw this watering can, I thought it was adorable. I didn't know what I'd do with it, but I knew I'd find a place for it.
The can is well constructed of metal and delightfully painted to make it very attractive. I had planned to use it for cut flowers, but had overlooked one slight design flaw for such use. It has little holes all around the main design, so it won't hold water. So far, it has been displayed in various places of my home. The colors are really nice and spring-like, which is nice to see, especially in the middle of winter.
I haven't done it yet, but I may look for a vase that would fit inside the can and then I can use it for flowers. Obviously, it was meant for decoration only, but I picture wildflowers coming out of the top. I have wildflowers in my backyard, so this summer I think I'll try using some in the can.
Hallmark carries a lot of interesting and unsual items. There were other things that matched this design, but this was the piece I wanted most. It's too bad I didn't look at it closer to begin with.
